Great day for Riverside

Players from Riverside had a great day at the Essex Senior Tier 4 on Sunday.

Sarah Lawrence and Claire Norton showed amazing determination to fight through three long sets to win the final, having already played a marathon semi final match. In doing so they gained some revenge for their team mates Holly and Hannah who had narrowly lost their semi final.

Fraser Bradshaw and Rob Clark cleverly adapted their tactics to recover from losing the first set of their semi final. Going onto dominate the second set. Unfortunately their opponent, who had earlier won gold in the XD, had to retire.

They nearly repeated the feat in the final losing just 22-20 in the second set.

Congratulations to all the Riverside medalists!
